Expressive Function

Every person has some feelings, emotions, ideas and he needs to express those feelings. By using an language the individual can express his views. By expressing oneself, a person can become a good orator, o good poet, or a good writer.

   Sometimes we do not express our feelings but when those feelings are expressed by some author or poet then we relate ourselves into it. So in this way we can arouse the feelings of others also

Informative Function

Language helps in giving information. If we want to pass information to another person or if a teacher wants to teach in his class then the language plays an important role. Without language passing of information is very difficult.

Directive Function

Language helps in giving directions to others. For giving directions to another person like a teacher or a supervisor gives instruction to his class to maintain decorum in the class or in army the chief instruct their team to follow the commands, Language plays an important role. Without language instructions or directions cannot be given.
